Almost every failure starts here
Preparation produces nothing visible, costs real money, and is the first thing removed from a cheap quotation. It is also what decides whether the system lasts.
The substrate is mechanically prepared and must be genuinely dry — solvent-based systems are intolerant of moisture. Laitance, oil and old coatings are removed. Ventilation arrangements and permits are confirmed before any material is opened.

Solvent-based application requires proper ventilation, appropriate PPE and, in industrial settings, a permit. This is established before mobilisation, not on the day.

Ground or blasted to an open profile, with substrate moisture measured against the manufacturer's limit.

Prime
Compatible primer applied to the stated coverage.

Apply to the specified DFT
Applied in the specified number of coats to 0.2–0.5 mm, with recoat intervals respected.

Ventilate through the cure
Ventilation is maintained throughout curing, not just during application, since solvent continues to release as the film hardens.

How long does solvent based coating last?
Exposure-specific. We would rather set that expectation honestly than quote a headline number, because the substrate condition and the standard of application matter more to the outcome than the product's own datasheet figure.
What does solvent based coating cost in Mumbai?

We do not publish a rate per square foot, because a number quoted without seeing the building is either meaningless or misleading.
